Dr. Rawat is experienced in handling various neonatal (newborn) emergencies in addition to paediatric cases of infectious diseases, trauma, renal failure, CHF, congenital heart disease, asthma, diabetes, etc. He worked as ICU In-Charge at Pushpanjali Hospital for more than four years, handling both paediatric and adult cases with all kinds of trauma, acute medical emergencies, infectious diseases, sepsis, ventilatory requirements, heart failure, asthma, etc., between January 2004 and June 2008. He worked part-time for NGO mobile creches from 2005 to 2008. Earlier, Dr. Rawat served as a Junior Resident in Paediatrics at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital in Aligarh from January 2001 to January 2003.
Dr. Naveen Rawat manages about 50 medical and para-medical staff at Pushpanjali Hospital including staff of the ICU, specialty wards, VIP ward, Medicine, Radiology & Pathology departments, and management of doctors of all specialities and resident medical officers.
He has conducted classes for resident doctors and nurses at Pushpanjali Hospital, and a series of lectures and workshops on occupational health, personal hygiene, stress management and first aid for factory and hospital workers. He has also organised multiple medical camps, blood donation camps and health inspections.
Dr. Rawat was part of a dengue control and treatment programme conducted by the World Health Organization. He also worked as a medical officer in a leprosy control programme and as a CRC and Counsellor in community research for the National AIDS Control Programme and National Pulse Polio eradication programme.
